paris, part 2.

Wednesday morning we had a late breakfast before the exhibition. It was already afternoon when we finally got there. We spent couple of hours there and were very impressed. Unfortunately it was forbidden to take pictures there. Go and see The Air Is On Fire if you have a chance! The paintings are unbelievable. They don't look much like anything in photos, but seeing them in reality, all the textures and three-dimensionality and the little details you can't see in a printed picture - it was amazing. I bought the exhibition catalogue which is a book of over 400 pages of pictures containing all the important works of David Lynch. I also bought some DL Signature Cup coffee and a t-shirt. But the book was the best thing I got from Paris.

After the exhibition we had dinner and went out for drinks later on.

Thursday started with a picnic in the Buttes Chaumont.

This picture is taken at the top of the Buttes Chaumont. You can see Montmartre in the horizon.

Thursday night we had an amazing dinner at a restaurant called Les Trois Marmites in the Ménilmontant area. After the dinner my friend's local friends took us to an art show. These pictures are from there.

Finally it was Friday, and though we didn't want to, it was time for me and miss Bunny to head home. Thank you Paris, we will come back some day! Oh, the memories.. I think I'm going to have to open a bottle of wine now.
